Golf Watch vs Tennis Watch

I have a lot of free time staying home during pandamic. Instead of Netflix, I’ve watched ATP tour since US Open tennis. Today was the final round in Roland Garros. It was so fun to watch Nadal’s great performance dominating the game. I watched a lot of Djokovic’s past year play through Youtube, but his play in Roland Garros was different, esp today. Maybe that is because Nadal’s play was flawless. Most tennis players have injuries and physical discomfort , so Djokovic’s condition can’t be an excuse.

The most common fact I found between watching tennis and golf is time consuming. After watching 5 hour match between Thiem and Schwatzman, I realized I need to limit time to watch ATP tour. Golf broadcast for 5 hours shows a lot of players and their various performances, while a long tennis match between two players can last upto 6 hours. The surprising fact: an intensive tennis match for 5 hours is very exciting, while golf tournament for 5 hours can be monotonous like today’s KPMG women’s championship when you can easily predict the winner.

Adding some more excitements in life during staying home isn’t a bad idea.
