The difference of my putting between now and a few months ago is my expectation when I see my ball on green. When I saw a ball 10 feet from a hole, I just expected I would have two putts and try not to make three putts. Now, I think myself I can make it with one putt. Of course, most of times I miss a 10 foot putt, but I am more likely to make that putt than I was a few month ago.
Mostly I write about practicing my swing, but actually I spend as much time on putting practice. Everyday, I practice 150 5-foot putts on my putting mat at home. I don’t practice my swing everyday, but I don’t miss my putting practice everyday. Now when I practice 150 5-foot putts at home, I am able to make all putts in the hole. I got my know-how to make a ball roll straight. Still, I will do this as my daily routine.
On green at a golf course, things are different with breaks and slopes. I know I am still not good at putting, but I like my putting strokes. If I make one putt I am very happy with during play, my time on practice is worthy. At least, my putting is not as stressful as I used to be and it is improving.
